Speech and Language Assessment

  • This is an assessment of all aspects of your child’s language, including vocabulary, grammar, semantics, pragmatic preferences and speech sounds 

    The assessment process includes:

    • A video consultation with parents in advance of the assessment process

    • 1:1 session with the young person, to complete a standardised and/or play-based assessment

    • Video feedback session with parents

    • Full SLT report

Consultation/ Advice Clinic

  • This is very helpful if you would like advice on how to support your child’s communication skills development.

    The Speech and Language Therapist can offer Advice Sessions and intervention to support this.

    These involve 1:1 meetings with parents to discuss useful strategies and can be particularly helpful for parents of late talkers and Gestalt Language Processors. 

    Our Speech and Language Therapist offers consultation/advice sessions in relation to;

    • Early Language Development

    • Early Speech Development

    • Augmentative and Alternative Communication

Speech Sound Assessment

  • This is an assessment of the sounds that make up your child’s speech

    The assessment process includes:

    • A 1:1 session with the young person, to formally and/or informally assess their speech

    • Video feedback session with parents  

    • Full Report provision

Speech and Language Intervention

  • Our Speech and Language Therapists provide Intervention, with therapy targets that include:

    • Receptive and expressive language

    • Social (pragmatic) communication

    • Speech sound production

    • Fluency and voice

    • Oral motor skills

  • €100 (50 mins session)
