Behaviour Therapy Services
Families who seek support regarding the positive development of their young person’s behavioural, emotional regulation, anger/anxiety management skills, are encouraged to schedule an initial intake session with our Behaviour Therapist. During the intake session, information will be gathered in order to support and empower parents in achieving the desired outcomes for their child. The goal is to support parents in their understanding of their child/young person’s unique behavioural and emotional profile, and provide strategies and techniques which may support their emotional/behavioural progression.
We understand that each child/young person, family, and set of circumstances are unique. Therefore, it is important that the form of support meets the needs of each family unit. From our experience, some children benefit from individual sessions with our behaviour therapist, while for others, it would be most appropriate to provide consultation and advice/training to parents/caregivers. Depending on your child’s needs, support may involve direct work with the young person, parent consultations, or both.
